You have to connect your VCR to the cable or satellite box’s LOW Def Composite outputs to record the tv show presently displayed on the channel….
That’s the ONLY way to do it with a VCR….
That’s why I recommend you consider renting the HD box with the DVR built in….
It’ll record any station at any time, while you enjoy another TV show on your box…..
Digital picture flickers are nothing more than the signal you are getting has lost some data thru the cable wire….you can’t make it go away completely, but you should rarely see it occur.
