There are a couple of diffence between LCD and Plasma TV’s.
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display and is using liquid crystals technology.
- A LCD television is usually better to pair with your computer than a plasma TV.
- Low Quality LCD TV’s can sometimes have problems with lag, which means that objects that are moving fast on the screen, seems to have “tail”.
- A LCD television has normally a higher resolution than a plasma TV, but the plasma is still better for the really big screen sizes.
Plasma TV is using neon and xenon gas technology.
- It has much thinner, but also heavier, monitors than LCD TVs.
- When the plasma TV came they had the problem with the image “burned” in the screen and got stuck. But this is now very rare.
- The biggest disadvantage of plasma television is that it requires more energy than an LCD TV.
